University of Massachusetts (Amherst)Late 1940s to early 1950s durene (dureen) knit, made by Horace Partridge, Boston, size 46. Measures 24 inches from armpit to armpit. Long sleeves! Number "78" sewn on front and back in heavyweight felt. Game used with some small snags and scuffs. No major damage. Deep maroon! Bright and shiny durene, mercerized, cotton. The player that wore this jersey is unidentified. This originally was discovered at a New England estate, about 20 years ago. NICE!
