Size: 8" x 10" Comments:A Vintage 1940's Original Photo depicting Hideki Tojo, Prime Minister of Imperial Japan who was directly responsible for the attack on Pearl Harbor. With the Americans coming for him after the War and rather than face the music for his war crimes, Tojo sought an easy way out and shot himself in the chest with a pistol. Despite shooting directly through the mark, the bullets missed his heart and penetrated his stomach in his failed suicide attempt.Here the captured Tōjō who was facing the International War Crimes Trial is shown here up close as captured by the U.S. Army Signal Corps.
