designer/manufacturer label: PENNEY'S TOWNCRAFT date: early / mid 1940s origin: USA fabric: rayon blade width (big end): approx. 5" (12.6cm) tie length: approx. 51" background / main colours: brown with orange, lime green & cream/off-white pattern: see pic.s printed both ends this tie can be worn 'fat' or 'skinny' end front it's a fabulous tie - the epitome of the period! style: post WWII goodwood swing jive lindyhop rockabilly demob art deco inspired bold atomic sputnik eames era modernist hollywood... vintage condition: EXCELLENT no holes, snags, terrible stains or offensive smells ;o) please note this is a 60-70 year old garment and may have very minor signs of wear/marks - nothing to detract but mentioned for accuracy - i've not laundered it - please look at the pic.s & email any questions you have.
