manufacturer/designer/ retailer label: none / unattributed date: mid / late 1940s - 1950s origin: USA fabric: not labelled - certainly feels like silk! blade width: approx. 4.5" (11.5cm) tie length: approx. 52" background / main colours: red with silver grey, off-white & black pattern: geometric (see pic.s) printed both ends this tie can be worn 'fat' or 'skinny' end front a beautiful tie, typical of the period & of ties illustrated in 'FIT TO BE TIED - Vintage Ties of The Forties & Early Fifties' (ISBN 0-89659-756-3) (see cover in pic.s) style: post WWII goodwood swing jive lindyhop rockabilly demob art deco inspired bold atomic sputnik eames era modernist hollywood... vintage condition: Very Good Wearable no terrible stains or offensive smells ;o) please note this is a 60-70 year old garment and does have some minor marks/signs of wear - one tiny hole shown in pic. 2 - nothing to detract but mentioned for accuracy - i've not laundered it - please look at the pic.s & email any questions you have. just one of a large collection of vintage forties & fifties swing era ties just in from the US of A, hundreds more fantastic vintage 1940s 1950s 1960s ties from Britain & America being listed all the time i've added a few extra pic.s of other ties i'm selling just to tempt you ;o) Check out my other items !
