Vintage 1941 MOTOROLA B150 Handle Bar Mount Bicycle Tube RadioUp for auction, rare vintage handlebar mount Motorola B150 Bicycle Radio made in the 1940s, allowing the rider to listen a portable tube radio. Advertised as "New and Unique, Doubles Your Bicycling Pleasure", this bike radio sold for $19.95 in 1941. The last photo shows the original advertising from GALVIN MFG Corporation in Chicago. This unique and uncommon portable radio was constructed of red painted metal and features a Motorola logo on the center top edge of the speaker grill, which has a beige grille cloth underneath. Two large beige plastic volume and tuning controls are mounted on both sides. The back of the radio featured attachment brackets for the handlebar of a bicycle. Originally the radio had a Type A and Type B battery compartment which is not included. The top has an opening for a plug to accommodate an antenna and the bottom has a four prong plug for the power cord. This rare and highly collectible vintage radio would make a great addition to your Vintage Bike, or any Vintage Radio Collection.CONDITIONRadio was made in 1941 and is in good vintage cosmetic condition for its age retaining a nice red shine to the painted metal body retaining the Motorola decal.
