WWII Ames Shovel T-Handle 1942 World War II U.S. Entrenching tool The shovel is 22 inch long and the blade is about 7-1/4 inches at widest part. I just found this recently and have not done anything to clean it up because this is not my field - I'll leave that to the experts. I haven't seen too many t-handles listed, most of them seem to be the folding type. U.S. Ames 1942 is on the handle (photo closeup but not too clear in the photo). It has definitely been used, it looks like t is a thin crack in the wood down by the blade. Wish I knew the history on w it's been! A great collector's item.
