Here is a sought after vintage 1942 Martin Committee Handcraft trumpet. The lacquer is poor, and this has seen some repairs, there is a patch just before the crook of the bell (on the outside of the bell). These were often performed as a preventative measure as these thin bells cracked often. The horn plays great, valves are fast and smooth. A trip to the restoring shop and this would look amazing again. All slides move freely and there is pop when each slide is removed, so compression appears good. There is a ripple at the front of the leadpipe, I am unsure what caused it, but it plays fine and does not affect the blow of the horn. The horn is very straight, I really cannot find any dents or dings. This is a great sounding trumpet. Here's a great opportunity to own a classic and collectible trumpet for a great price.
