AND THEN...!? We are offering the 1942 PHILCO RADIO 42-380 FLOOR MODEL . It originally sold for $75.00 in 1942 and was the pride of many homes during World War II. It is being sold "AS IS" and for local pickup only. I have not had the nerve to plug it in, but for the radio restorer, I think you would enjoy this project this winter. I recently saw one of this model go on ebay in fully restored condition for $700.00. . REVISION OF INFORMATION I received an email after listing this and the gentleman said that t was no way this model sold on ebay for $700.00. I replied I had seen it listed earlier and found out it was not Ebay, but the internet, Radio Attic to be specific. Another exchange took place and I noted that on Sep7, 2007 the item was sold for $700.00 . Another exchange and we determined that $700.00 was the asking price. Relying on the expertise of the gentleman who raised the question, he estimated that this radio in fully restored condition would probably go for $250.00 max.
