This listing represents a very rare piece of women’s WWII uniform memorabilia and one of several women’s military uniform items I have listed this week. Here you have an original, World War II 1944 Enlisted WAC (Women’s Army Corps) Class B Khaki Summer Tropical Tunic. The tunic is in about near mint condition, is in the summer tropical tan khaki color, and has the Quartermaster Tag Present. The QM Tag is present in the lower right outer pocket. It identifies the tunic as a WAC’s summer tropical worsted wool tunic. It is marked as a size 14 Long. The tunic is simply crafted. There are button down epaulettes at the shoulders and two button flaps at the chest. These pocket flaps are cosmetic, as there are no pockets. Lower down there are a pair of slash pockets. There is four eagle buttons down the front. The cuffs are straight without buttons. There is a partial, Green rayon or satin lining. The QM Tag notes the tunic is a summer tropical khaki tunic for an enlisted WAC. It is dated 1944. It is marked as a size 14L. Laying the tunic flat I obtained the following measurements; 17 inches armpit to armpit, 16 inches through the waist and 25 inches for the sleeves. The overall length of the tunic is 29 inches. The tunic is also pleated to the front and back. The armpits are reinforced. There are no stains, soiling, fading or signs of wear. read more
