This vintage paperweight was created by Millville glassworks in New Jersey, about 1945 or soon after WWII, to honor the Ninth Armored Division, "Hitler's Nemesis," whose motto was "Eight Stars to Victory." The Ninth Armored Division captured the bridge over the Rhine River at Remagen, Belguim, on March 7, 1945, marking the beginning of the end for Hitler's army. The paperweight has white lettering, which doesn't show up too well in photo, imbedded above multi-colors saying "Eight Stars to Victory" "The Gallant Ninth Division" and "Hitler's Nemesis." The paperweight has been gently used, and t are moderate marks of wear but otherwise in fine condition.
