1948 Muskegon Lassies Yearbook72 pagesVery good condition. The covers were split at the spine and have been repaired with tape. The four page center section (pages 35-38) is detached but with the yearbook. The other pages are bound tightly, and the covers and pages are clean.1948 Muskegon Lassies Yearbook - This is a rare yearbook from the Muskegon Lassies of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League from the 1948 season. 1947 league MVP, Doris "Sammy" Sams is featured on the front cover as she was Muskegon's top player. There are photos and bios of all of the players as well as the club's manager, Bill "Wamby" Wambsganss, the great second baseman of the Cleveland Indians.The yearbook also has team photos of the eight members of the AAGPBL and complete stats from the 1947 season as well as highlight from the Lassies' '47 campaign. It's a great tribute to the league featured in the movie "A League of Their Own." There's no crying in baseball!!
