1948 Notre Dame University Yearbook Senior John Lujack 1948 Heisman Trophy Winner went to pro NFL. Also seniors Ziggy Czarobski, went to pro NFL, George Connor went to pro NFL, Jose Napoleon Duarte (former president of El Salvador from 1984-1989. John Schneider (former president of CBS television network) Plus NBA player Leo Barnhorst & Kevin O'Shea went to Pro. Great book and I have more of these yearsbooks from 1947-1950. Check them out. Book has 436 pages and in nice shape with minor wears. ALL AMERICAN JOHNNY LUCJACK WON the HEISMAN. Coached by FRANK LEAHY and MOOSE KRAUSE some of Lujack's teammates were: EMIL SITKA, Captain GEORGE CONNOR, ZIGGY CZAROBSKI, LEON HART, BILL WALSH, FRANK TRIPUCKA and MANY MORE. Some of the MANY Photos are shown below. A RECORD Notre Dame Stadium CROWD watched the IRISH "STEAMROLL" ARMY 27-7. Each Game has a thorough Re-Cap and LOTS of Pictures. As for the book....... It's LOADED with Photographs. Senior Students have INDIVIDUAL Portrait Photos. This was Lujack's SENIOR YEAR. His INDIVIDUAL Senior Portrait can be seen below.
