1950 Michigan State vs. Notre Dame College Football Program - Willard Mullin Art Description: Early college football program for a game between Michigan State and Notre Dame, played at Notre Dame on Oct. 28, 1950. Michigan State, with Frank Kush and Al Dorow, defeated Notre Dame with Jim Mutscheller and Bob Toneff, 36-33. The Spartans, under coach Biggie Munn, finished the year 8-1 and were ranked #8 in the final poll on their way to becoming a football power at the time. Michigan State won 28 games in a row under coach Munn from 1950 to 1953. He was the first coach to beat Notre Dame coach Frank Leahy three times in a row. They eventually joined the Big Ten in 1953. 64 pages, complete. Excellent condition. Small crease on the back cover.
