Vintage Barney Bear, The Drummer Boy. Cragstan Alps 1950 Barney Bear The Drummer Boy Battery Operated Tin Toy win inner box and some fragments of the exterior box. I did test this item and only one eye light up and the toy did not operate. Because I am selling this for a friend and I am not familiar with the construction of this piece, I did not take the change to try and repair it. I will let someone else try to attempt it that is a bit more familiar with they toys. Overall condition of the bear is in really nice shape. Just wished it worked.Barney Bear The Drummer Boy, manufactured by Alps in Japan in the 1950s, and imported by Cragstan. It is a battery operated, remote control toy, made of mostly tin with plastic support parts. Barney Bear is approx. 11" tall with a drum attached to his body, and drum sticks in each hand. His frame is tin. He is wearing overalls, and large red tin litho shoes with wheels. This vintage toy is mint in box, factory packaged assuming everything works.The box has minor bends and crease due to shelf ware. corners and edges are in great shape for its age. His arms play the drum and he does walk. His clothes do not have any tears or holes and are very clean His fur looks great as so does is red shoes. The shoes have minor scuffs. His drum is very good on the top and sides. He will display well.
