1950's Ichiko Japan-1953 PONTIAC 2 DOOR SEDAN W/ DRIVER IN TUXEDO-14"-A BEAUTY! This is a beauty! For some reason this was my favorite car for 20 years....just a wonderful combination. impressive size along with the much scarcer early 50's 2 tone. An early 1950's Japan made 1953 Pontiac 2 Door Sedan by Ichiko. It's 14 inches long and nearly 7 inches wide, so it really is a big car. It is friction operated with rear wheel drive and a smooth growl noise to the motor. It's in lovely c-8/9 condition with an attractive 2 tone-scarlet red and cream color scheme. The driver is putting on the ritz, because he's dressed in a lovely navy blue tuxedo with a matching bow tie. He's a full dimensional tin figure. The interior of the Pontiac is also fully lithoed including the seats, floor and a dashboard with speedometer, dials, and radio. There's even a gas pedal lithoed on the floor. This is a scarce and desirable vintage tin car in wonderful condition. A bit of factory overspray occurred in production as shown. The whole run of these two tones had this overspray. Hence the small amount of them left today, i believe. It has a small amount of very light scratching and a tiny bit of spidering to one spot on the hood, but I'm really nitpicking.
