This is a mint state 1952 Washingon-Carver silver Commemorative! Featuring the final design in America's early commemorative series which began in 1893, this 1952 half dollar honors educator and founder of Tuskegee Institute, Booker T. Washington, and botanist George Washington Carver. The contributions these two prominent Americans made vastly improved our nation's way of life. Half dollars with the Carver-Washington design were issued from 1951-54, and this 90% silver commemorative was struck at the Philadelphia Mint in 1952. Visit us at atticfinds4u248
