Unusual and substantial old 7 ¾” bakelite gavel, the handle and head slightly different tones of butter color. Graceful design on both pieces mimicking the turnings on a wood gavel; impressed and blackened on the front, “Louise M. Olsson W. M. / Batavia Chapter No. 480 D. E. S. / 1953.” I have not been able to find a word on what that, or even part of that, means. That’s even better. Unusual, precise old gavel in mint condition; evidently Louise Olsson was very careful with it. NOTE: The postage listed by eBay is just an estimate, and may not always be accurate.
