I am offering up for sale a very "RARE" 4/5th sized bottle, of Old Grand-Dad 100 proof Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, from approximately 1953; according to the tax stamp still on the bottle! This bottle has a cork style top which degraded over the years, allowing the orange cap portion to twist around, which in turn may have allowed some of the bourbon to seep out when it laid on it's side during my packing of it, when I moved from place to place through out time! Maybe it was not full to begin with????? Anyway, it has the appearance that it has been opened, but it has not been! The bourbon Whiskey inside is perfectly amber clear in color quality and it is not discolored or clouded at all! If you examine the top closely, you can pretty much tell it has not been opened by any conventional means! The inner cork portion has never come out off the bottle that I know of, only the orange cap part twisted about, seperating the tax stamp! T is still some clear cellophane though that is still intact atop the bottle between the cork cap and bottle lip! I can further attest that this bottle has never been opened, as my great Aunt purchased it new over 50 years ago for my Uncle; he died before he ever got a chance to open it! My Aunt didn't drink so she never opened it either! It used to sit above the fridge in a cupboard in her kitchen, hidden away for years & years until I got it several years ago! The bottle & labels are in excellent condition my opinion! This bottle is pretty full with what I believe is it's original 100 proof bourbon whiskey! As per Ebay policy, this item is being sold for the value of the collectibility of the bottle, not for it's contents & the contents I must state is not intended for consumption! I must also insist that the succesful bidder/buyer be 21 years old to bid/purchase this item & must be prepared to prove it! I may ask that the winning bidder/buyer email me sufficient photo ID proof, & or other such proof at my discretion! The value of the auctioned item is in the collectible container, not its contents. The container has not been opened, but any incidental contents are not intended for consumption.
