Here we have a vintage & collectable Imperial "The Good Companion" typewriter The typewriter has a grey hammer finish paint job with metal keys (later ones had plastic) There is a serial number inside the typewriter for JC 145 (see photo 6) we think this dates it 1954-55 It comes with its original case, the key for the lock is present (see photo 7) The typewriter is in very nice order. We have not fully tried it but I would think it works it ok. An ink ribbon is present but its dried up. A couple of keys stick slightly so it may need a service The case is in good condition. Some of the leatherette covering is coming away in places. A dab of glue should sort it out Please look at the 11 close up photos provided these form part of the description Overall a nice collectable Imperial typewriter at a fair price It will be despatched well protected with full on-line trcaking provided This is an heavy item (about 7kgs) hence the higher postage charge. Or you can collect for free from Blackburn in Lancashire with cash on collection only Any questions please ask we do not bite ! Please look in our Ebay store "The Curiosity Bazaar " for loads of interesting collectable items
