I'm selling a tin friction 956 Opel Olympia Rekord hardtop made by Yonezawa of Japan. The car measures 12 inches or 30 centimeters long and it is complete and all original with the exception of replacement window "glass." It is in very good, played with condition. The color combination is beautiful, and the paint is in very nice shape with some small scratches and chips. The chrome trim is very nice is some spots and has some wear in others. The back bumper, in particular, has a good deal of darkening to the chrome although it has polished up some. (The chrome trim seems to be the Achilles Heel of this particular tin car. It is often found in a corroded condition.) The hubcaps are in great shape, and the friction motor works very well. The interior is very nice. The car is not perfect but it is a nice example of a classic 1950's 12 inch tin car, beautifully designed and made. The car is pictured on page 165 of the great Big Book of Tin Toy Cars, Questions are welcome and I will be happy to provide additional photos. Shipping will be 9.50 in the U.S.; overseas shipping will vary by country and method of shipping. I am always happy to combine shipping. Paypal is preferred for payment and within 3 days of end of auction, please. Thanks!
