Another big Japanese tin car by Ichiko. This beautifully styled flying fin Oldsmobile 2-doorhardtop measures a big 13" long (33.02 cm) by 3.75” tall (9.53 cm) and 5" wide (7.62 cm). This is one of those cars from a very old collection that was customized to suit the owner. The paint looks fabulous, however, it is a custom paint job. The lithographed interior coordinates beautifully with the burgundy paint and the cream colored fins. And of course the whitewall tires add the flavor of the 1950’s. All of the tin trim including bumpers, grill, windshield trim and hubcaps are original and in pretty good condition, although there are a few areas of minor surface rust and some thin chrome. The celluloid windows are original and in outstanding condition. The base plate has been repainted along with the rest of the car. The friction works on the car and tires and wheels are in good condition. This is a beautiful and hard to find car that in my estimation captures the look and feel of the golden age of cars.
