One of the most sought after vintage goalie mask styles in the hobby, this caramel-colored bar mask was produced in the 1960s by Jacques Plante's Fibrosport company. This very scarce Plante pro model mask was among the few that the legendary goalie made for friends in the professional ranks. Each mask was custom made from a mold of the player's face. This fiberglass original has a remnant of its original padding inside the mask at the forehead, with two pieces of vintage white tape on either side of the chin. Elasticized canvas straps remain attached at five points around the mask, which features a raised nose and large eye openings. It bears a striking resemblance to the version worn by Plante during his final days with the Canadiens in the early-1960s. This sensational Plante-made original pro pretzel beauty will make an outstanding conversation-starter when it takes its place in your Plante/goalie mask display.
