This pitcher is a vintage, mid-century item, probably from the 1960s. Based upon the label design, it appears to be a S.T.E.L.V.I.A. (which stands for Società Toscana Esercizio Lavorazione Vetri Industriali e Artistici) piece from the Empoli region located just outside Florence, Italy. A combination of a molded body (and base decorated with a nice floral daisy pattern) with a hand-blown handle, this playful, funky Opalina Fiorentina cased glass jug is an eye-catching Chartreuse-y lime green and would look great in your Murano glass collection or in a kitchen window where the light will show it off. The flowers give it almost a "hippie" vibe.Condition is mint, as new, with the original label still attached. No chips, cracks or fleabites. There are some minor inclusions and mold lines, and there is a thin line from manufacturing that is inside the glass, not a crack (the exterior is smooth and solid on both sides). It does not sit completely flat (has a small wobble), which could be corrected with adhesive felt pads, if desired. Please see all photos.Dimensions: 8-3/4" H x 5" L x 3-5/8" W; 2-1/4" diameter at top opening.I ship via economy shipping to 48 states only. (eBay shipping calculations have seemed high lately, so if there is a notable difference in your favor I will refund your account in that amount.)Ours is a smoke-free home.
