RARE 1960's ROGER MARIS Christmas Card & Original Photo Starting Bid 99 cents !!! .... Absolutely NO RESERVE !!! DESCRIPTION SEASONS GREETINGS from THE MARIS' ! A RARE, Vintage 1960's Christmas Card from the family of New York Yankees star, Roger Maris. Card measuring 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" features a cartoon of a sleeping Santa and below is a plea that reads "C'mon, Santa. We're due at 12221 Mar Bec Trail" . We were able to Google the address and confirm that it is indeed the Maris' old address at Independence, OH where Roger lived during the 1960's with his wife, the former Patricia Carvell, and their seven children (when Maris retired, he lived in Gainesville, Fla., where he owned a beer distributorship. Interesting because the house is actually on the market ( ! The card unfolds and reads "MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM THE MARIS FAMILY" and depicts Roger's family in caricature: Roger, his wife Patricia and his then, six children. Card is in beautiful NrMT condition. Also included is a VINTAGE 1960's Kodachrome photograph snapshot of Maris that accompanied the card. The photo is a TYPE I exemplar and measures 3-1/2" x 3-1/2" and is beautiful Ex/MT condition with beautiful colors and crisp clarity.
