DESCRIPTION This auction is for one large lot of 10 vintage 1960s Barbie and friend dolls, plus lots of clothes, shoes and accessories. I am not a Barbie collector or the original owner of any of these items. This lot is from an estate sale and had been in storage for many years. Everything is in vintage, used condition. For the most part, everything is clean. Some of the clothing may be wrinkled or need a small repair, have a spot of soil or age spot or show other signs of aging such as dinginess. The dolls are pretty clean. I've given them a quick wipe down, but will leave the heavy cleaning of the dolls and clothing up to the new owner since I am unfamiliar with how to do this. Some of the items in the auction include: Bubblecut Barbie : Titan Red hair, side part, straight legs. Pretty good condition. Japan on right foot. Finger and nail polish mostly intact. Paint loss to eye areas, lips and brows. Backside marked Midge 1962, Barbie 1958, By Mattel Inc. and Patented, the number 12 on opposite side. No green ear or neck splits. Bubblecut Barbie : Blonde hair, straight legs. Fair condition. Don't see a mark on foot. Fingernail polish partly there, none on toes. Legs seem warped with pink marks on calves. Paint loss to eye areas and lips. Backside marked Midge 1962, Barbie 1958, By Mattel, Inc. and Patented, can't make out the number on the opposite side - either a 6 or 8. No green ear. One small neck split. A number of pin-size marks on face. Fashion Queen : Pretty good condition. A few rubs to painted hair, eyelashes and one eyebrow and a tiny spot of paint loss on lip - all pretty minor. Scratch across left hip/top of thigh. Fingernail polish mostly intact, no polish on toes. Japan on right foot. Backside printed Barbie, Pats Pend, MCMLXIII, By Mattel, Inc., and B 41 on the opposite side. No green ear or neck splits. Comes with 5 wigs - see photos. Midge : Titan Red hair, straight legs. Pretty good condition. Hair flip is tight. Paint on face looks good, some loss on lips. Japan on right foot. No green ear or neck splits. Fingernail polish is there but somewhat faint, mostly gone from toes. There are light pinkish marks on her body that looks like dye from clothing rubbed off during storage. Backside marked Midge 1962, Barbie 1958, By Mattel, Inc., the number 11 on opposite side. Francie : Twist 'n Turn, bendable legs. Pretty good condition. Brunette with brown eyes. Face paint looks good, hair is soft, rooted eyelashes intact - some look longer than others. No green ear or neck splits. Small discolored spot on back of right arm. Dimple on left hip. Backside marked 1966 Mattel, Inc., U.S. Patented, U.S. Pat. Pend., Made in Japan, and the number 5 on the opposite side. No polish on nails. Francie : Blonde hair, straight legs. Fair condition. Face paint looks okay, lips a bit faded. Hair is fair, at best. This doll was stored for many years with her hair in a ponytail and it is unruly. Her head is a darker color than the rest of her body, with the number 171 marked just under the hairline on the back of her head. Both feet marked Japan. There are light pinkish marks on her body (mostly on shoulders and upper arms) that looks like dye from clothing rubbed off during storage. No green ear, no neck splits. Backside marked 1965, Mattel, Inc., U.S. Pat'd., U.S. Pat. Pend., Made in Japan, and the number 4 on the opposite side. Ken : Blond painted crew cut hair, blue eyes. Fair condition. Scratches on body. Right arm comes loose. Some paint loss on head and eyebrows. No green ear or neck splits. Both feet marked Japan. Backside marked Ken, Pats. Pend., MCMLX by Mattel Inc., and the number 4 on the opposite side. Skipper : Blonde hair, blue eyes. Straight legs. Pretty good condition. Paint on lips faded. No polish on nails. Hair is okay.
