1968 Gibson Hummingbird acoustic vintage guitar ohsc This 41-year old guitar was born in the Gibson Kalamazoo plant according to the orange sticker. The bound natural finish body, rosewood fingerboard with dual pearl parallelogram inlays, tortoise hummingbird and flower motif pickguard and gold hardware provide an exceptionally attractive vintage appearance. This auction is for a vintage 1968 Gibson Hummingbird acoustic guitar in natural solid spruce top and solid cherry stained mahogany back and sides. The finish is in great shape for it's age and is checking /crazing beautifully. The binding has aged to vintage yellow and is intact. The intonation and response of the guitar is full and legendary due to the light bracing used inside. The rosewood adjustable bridge is solid and still intact. The neck is straight and action great with light fret wear. I'm not sure, but maybe Brazilian rosewood fretboard and bridge. Some tell me it is, let me know what you think. The Gibson logo and crown in pearl. Original nut, truss rod cover and gold Kluson Deluxe tuners with keystone buttons. The Gibson sticker on the inside of the guitar is in tact.
