Up for auction is a really cool doll from the late 1960's called "TIPPY TUMBLES" in working condition with the original box. It doesn't get much better than this folks if you're a collector. The doll measures 16" tall. The original box measures 19" tall x 11" wide x 6 1/4" deep. I am not an expert in grading things but I would say the original box is in Very Fine condition with no tears or smashed corners. It does have some staining mostly on the back and one side and overall yellowing from age as you can see from the pictures. In my opinion, I think she displays quite nicely. Another minor flaw I see is a split seam about 1/4" long in her stretch pants or leotards. I believe all her clothes are original including the ribbons in her red hair. Now, one V ery Important fact the new owner needs to know so the doll works, is choice of batteries. You MUST use the Duracell or any other battery that looks exactly like this negative end of the battery. I tried the Energizer batteries and they worked only when I used them outside the controll box. Once I placed them in the controll box the item did not work. I swapped them out with the Duracells and walla... she works. It appears that one of the negative contacts on the battery was not making contact with the corresponding contact in the controll box. There you have it....End of story. So read more
