1969SIGNEDLABINOAMBER/RED CASEDART GLASS VASEABSTRACT BUBBLES APOLOGIZE FOR EXTREME GLARE. COULD NOT PHOTOGRAPH CASED BUBBLES ON BULBOUS FORM This is a remarkable Labino vase. I think it's a superb piece of Abstract Art. Love the teardrop/bulbous form. Fantastic tapering shape. It's Labino all the way. Creative, imaginative, engaging, and shows the talented genius of his glass making ability. Came from a well-appointed Estate auction held in the Midwest. Owners primarily collected Modern Abstract pieces of Art Glass. This is vase #4 from their collection. It was sold as a paperweight vase. The condition is pristine. T are no chips or cracks and no repairs to this piece. I love the shape and feel of the glass. Is weighty and substantial in the palm. Very, very smooth and sensuous to hold. Sounds goofy, but the glass feels wonderful to hold. Naturally conforms to the shape of your cupped hands. I find this piece absolutely stunning. Extraordinary. Wonderful shades of rich honey to Amber tones. In the light, the outline of the vase is Red with tinges of Yellow. Don't know how he created it, but it's fantastic in the light. Looks molten. Globular. Looks like thick, warm, deliciously sweet Honey melting in the sunshine. T are abstract bubbles suspended within the cased glass. Some larger than others which take on an organic expression. read more
