Nautilus #101Royal Worcester collectible DESCRIPTION: I am offering this exquisite collectible for sale: Nautilus #101 in excellent condition. It is a white porcelain nautilus shell raised on coral branch with smaller seashells around the base. Marked: Royal Worcester, Made in England 101. Size: 6 5/8''H, 4 1/2''W, 4''D. The mark has 20 dots and an "R" in a circle, which means it was made in 1970. The "R" was introduced in 1956 to replace the "W" which started counting from 1950. The dot system adds one year to the date per dot. The images below are photos of the actual item for sale. The maker's mark on the bottom shows the number "101" and 20 dots next to an "R" in a circle. Item is 6 1/2" tall. Auction estimates for similar Nautilus vases range from $150 to $300. CONDITION OF ITEM: The piece is in excellent condition. There are NO chips, cracks, stains or flaws; it has been well taken care of. The bottom of the piece has light scuffs on the unglazed portion from being in contact with a surface, and those are visible in the photo of the underside. Look closely at the enlargement photos as they describe the item better than I can here.
