This is a copper Wichita Centennial Coin that was issued for the 1969-1970 one year centennial celebration. This centennial celebration was the forerunner to the now annual Wichita River Festival which was initiated in 1972. Because of the close relation between the Centennial and River Festival, most Riverfest collectors also collect the centennial coins. The coin is encased in clear plastic with a black air seal. The condition is as shown in the pictures.
