1974 Commonwealth of the Bahamas 9 coin Proof Set. Produced by the Franklin Mint, with authorization of the Bahamas Monetary Authority. In 1974 the coins were redesigned to reflect the achievement of independence, the first issued by the Bahamas as an independent nation. Each coin bears the national coat of arms. The Five and Two dollar coins are .925 sterling silver, the One Dollar and .50 cent coin are .800 silver. This beautiful proof set comes with the original mint packaging and COA (certificate of authenticity).
