is a complete set of "Merry Mushrooms" canister set !! Produced in 1978 for Sears, Roebuck & Co. in Japan. Now discontinued and getting harder to find. This set is perfect, I haven't used that word too often when referring to vintage breakables, but THIS set is just that !!Colors are bright and fresh in earthy shades of the woods w the mushrooms grow. Browns, reds, orange, green, touches of yellow.The flour is 7 1/8" tall without the lid. With the lid it adds approximately 3 1/2". The sugar is 5 3/4" tall, with lid it adds just under 3 more inches.Coffee is4 3/4" without lid, add about 3" with lid. Tea is 4" tall, 2" added with lid on.Each of these pieces are in excellent shape, free of usage marks, flea bits, chips, cracks or repairs. The lady I bought them from said she "put them away" because she needed counter space. Too bad for her lucky for the winner of this auction. Retro cool style would add such a statement to the kitchen. Weight pre packaged is 7 poundsReplacementsLTD wants $33.99 for the flour w lid, $39.99 for the sugar w lid, $27.99 for the coffee w lid, and $19.99 for the tea w lid . This is a discontinued set, hard to difficult to find (and expensive) in this condition. It seems you always find sets with a chip or t, small cracks that you have to decide Do I like this set well enough to live with these imperfections. read more
