This lot consists of the store promo 1980-81 7-UP poster featuring the six canadian athletes available on posters in the promotion. Gretzky and Michel "Bunny" Larocque are the larger players, while Edm Eskimos' Dave Fennell (about to crush Wpg Blue Bombers' Dieter Brock), Wpg Jets Morris Lukowich, Montreal Expos' Gary Carter, and Vancouver Whitecaps' Bob Lenarduzzi are also pictured. The poster measures 19"x25", and is ex-nr-mint, with small faults and a bit of wavyness from moisture. This poster is one of the very few really early Gretzky posters and is the french edition, available only in Quebec. The logo in the english version is "Canada's turning 7-UP", but on this on it translates approximately to "In Quebec, more than ever, it's 7-UP". Please ignore the camera flash. It's quite attractive, and would look good framed on your wall. We also have a batch of different Gretzky posters up for sale.
