This is a lot of 1980 Moscow Olympic Silver proof coins. There are five in the case plus two more. They are in excellent condition. I picked them up in Helsinki or Leningrad (now St. Petersburg) in 1989. There's the High Jumper, and Weightlifter, the Sprinter and the swimmer - those are 5 ruble coins. The 10 ruble coins are the rowers, the equestrians, and the cyclist. The backside of the equestrian coin has some brown tarnish starting to form, it looks like someone once touched the coin. These coins total 149.91 grams of silver or 4.82 ounces, all being 90%. If Silver is at about $955 per kilogram (about $30.00 an ounce) then it's a melt value of approximately $145. You can check these coins out on Wikipedia for more information about the artist or to confirm the weights. The plastic case was made by Pfeiffer Numismatik - Artikel in Munich, West Germany (There's a sticker on the bottom) I'm starting this below melt value (depending on the price of silver at the moment)We no longer accept returns so if you have questions please ask before you bid.
