A remarkable and rare double error with stunning visual appeal ... in a high, high grade. PCGS does not often bestow the GEM 66 grade on many notes - and the older the note, the less likely such a high grade will be earned. As far as error TYPES go, this one is rare. How often do you see double errors with OVERINKED OVERPRINT and OFFSET OVERPRINT on one HIGH GRADE note? Far more scarce than, say, mismatched serials, plate offsets, even inverted overprints. Think about it - this is a bona fide rare error! It will be a long wait for another ... Plus - error notes are always tough to find in super high grades. The people who discover errors, regular folks, bank tellers, and so on, often do not take care to preserve the note - not knowing any better they'll often fold then in half, etc. What is truly remarkable about this error is the offset overprint on the reverse - see the scan of the reverse, note the clear district seal (this "double error" is noted on the slab too). Another huge bonus - this note is a "mule" with high back plate number. This is actually a "1977A" back! Double errors are very scarce - and GEM 66!
