The coin has been authenticated and graded by Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC), which is the preferred grading service (based on populations reports) for Chinese panda coins. The coin is graded PF69 and is beautiful with reflective fields and has no visually apparent scratches, dings, toning spots or frost breaks. Very light toning along the outer rim on Great Wall side of the coin. NGC holder is brand new with no scratches. Panda coins have been a solid investment during the last couple of years. The positive price performance is attributed to increase in the price of precious metals and increase in the number of collectors participating in the market as demonstrated by increased numismatic value (premiums collectors are willing to pay above melt value) for the coins.
