1 oz. Silver 1994 Australian Kookaburra The 1994 design depicts a pair of vigilant kookaburras sitting on a leafy tree branch,facing in opposite directions. Kookaburras are large terrestrial kingfishers native to Australia and New Guinea. They are best known for their unmistakable call, which sounds like loud echoing human laughter. The first silver one ounce Kookaburra was issued in 1990 by the Perth Mint, all silver one ounce Kookaburras have a $1 face value, these coins are considered legal tender. Mintage = 300,000.
