DESCRIPTION:An amusing Chinese antique 19th century Qing dynasty turquoise glaze porcelain figure of a seated 2-horn mythical beast. Without the horns, it looks like a fu-dog or foo-lion. Turquoise glaze has uneven fine crackles, some big, some small. Areas of glaze thinning to yellowish-green color, mostly on horns, forehead & paws. Some dirt-like spots mostly on horns, ears & back shoulder, most likely firing faults. Base with adhesion from rough kiln removal. Interior burnt light yellow-orange-beige. Some original firing cracks under the glaze.A pair was sold at Christie's London on 22 Jan, 2013 for 2,000 british pounds.Free domestic shipping.
