Shipping is OPTIONAL. This item May be picked up in Keene, New Hampshire. Please carefully read my description and check out the photos BEFORE asking questions or bidding. This English teapot from the Staffordshire region depicting Mount Vernon, the seat of the late George Washington in blue and white transfer was made in the early 19th century, probably between 1800 and 1815, shortly after the death of our first President. The detailed appraisal below the photos was produced before this extraordinary item was professionally restored subsequent to an accident in which the spout had been broken from the body. Photos include the item before the restoration as well as detailed photos of it now, after completion of the restoration, including closeups of the repaired regions showing the exterior and interior. This item is available for examination prior to bidding and I can furnish even higher resolution images by email to serious interested parties. (They're about 4megs each so I can't email too many.) Please be patient for wonderful photos to download. It'll be worth the wait. Shipping is quoted to lower 48 state destinations, but, as always in my auctions, you are welcome to pick it up in Keene, NH about 90 minutes west of Boston, north of Hartford and east of Albany w NO TAX, "handling" or other gotchas will be due.....ONLY your winning bid. COMBINE SHIPPING? ABSOLUTELY! Whenever it's possible for me to combine winnings into a single shipment to save you money, I will do so. If you wish to communicate with me AFTER the auction ends, please include your email address in your question because eBay message forwarding will NOT allow me to reply after the auction has closed. If you get a "Second Chance" offer by email after the item sells, be SURE to go to your "MY EBAY" and check to see if the message appears t Unfortunately, some fraudulent "second chance offers" are being sent by crooks and ONLY REAL ONES will appear in your MY EBAY message center so do NOT send any money to anyone whose message isn't t
