This microscope was in use in 1875. It belonged to a Dr. Pendergast from Philadelphia PA. It includes teasing needle, small scalpel and brass forceps. It also includes a selection of prepared slides in the wooden storage box as well as a separate slide box with more prepared slides. As near as I can tell it is complete except that the substage mirror is missing. This is a beautiful piece of scientific equipment that would display well in a physicians office. Makes a beautiful gift for a graduating medical student.
