Up for sale is this 19th century oval Shaker box made by a left handed Shaker. The box measure 8" long, 5 !/4" wide, and 2 #/4" tall. This box is in nearly perfect condition with typical wear. There are no cracks, splits, hairlines or loss. All tacks and pegs are intact and solid. Oxidation is really nice. Some staining on the inside from Shaker use. Nice mellow patina to the body, and typical lighter rim area from the top covering it keeping it from aging. Fingers are well carved and lid fits very nicely. Nice example of Shaker craftsmanship.
