[CX34] A fine octagonal child's, nursery or toy plate with a good quality monochrome print of the "Rev'd J Wesley - A M.", within a moulded garland and medallion border. Staffordshire, Swansea or Sunderland, c1840, probably produced for the centenary of the Wesleyan Methodist Society in 1839. 15.8cm max. diameter and in excellent condition, just a little discolouration and odd flake to a couple of the rim points, and minor discolouration and crazing to the base.
