This is a superb 19thc mahogany pediment with shell decoration carved to top and with intricate pierced detail carved below. All carving is in high relief and the attention to detail is excellent. The condition of this pediment is excellent and age commensurate with one split to the very end of pediment - see images please. This pediment has come straight from a large Victorian house clearance in London and is just rather dusty having spent years stored away in a loft. Height max some 10.5". Length max some 32.5". A very fine collectable 19th century mahogany carved pediment with shell carved to top and fine pierced detail below.
