This coin is being sold directly from Mel Fisher's nephew, Charles Sotzin, one of the first divers to recover Spanish bullion from the famous shipwreck, the Nuestra Senora De Atocha, off of the coast of Key West, Florida, in 1985. This 1 Ounce Silver Diver's Commemorative Coin was forged from an authentic silver ingot recovered from the wreckage of the Nuestra Senora De Atocha by Mel Fisher, Charles Sotzin, and the divers of Treasure Salvors Inc.
