1oz Silver Kookaburra coin 2011 .999 Coin is supplied in a plastic Capsule for storage and protection. One half inches (40.60mm) in diameter and weighs 31.13gThe Australian Kookaburra also called laughing kookaburra or laughing jackass is native to eastern Australia a bird of the kingfisher family, its call sounds like fiendish laughter. This gray brown, wood- land dwelling bird reaches a length of 43 cm with an 8 to 10 cm beak; in its native habitat it eats invertebrates and small vertebrates including venomous snakes. It defends his territory year-round usually in flocks of monogamous pairs.The Perth mint began minting these coins in 1990, each year the reverse design is changed. The obverse depicts a portrait of her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. A truly beautiful coin, it would be a great addition to anyone's prized collection.Coin in Excellent Condition.
