* PLEASE READ All Terms & Conditions Before Bidding! *DESCRIPTIONâe¦. This auction is for an exceptional pair of very old antique Ruby Red Cranberry Glass Lusters. This set comes complete with a total of 20 long decoratively cut crystal spear prisms (10 prisms each). The upper bowls are decorated with a cut scalloped lip and an applied gilding in a scrolling design accented with fleur de lis. As shown in the pictures both lusters display a fantastic swirling in the old cranberry glass.I have been asked to auction this beautiful set off by a very old and dear friend of ours. She is 79 years old and tells that these lusters came from her great grandmother who either brought them with her when she and her new husband immigrated to the New Orleans area from France or acquired them shortly after their arrival. She now resides in Maine and has had many years of enjoyment and fond memories of these pieces and is happy to be offering them for another journey and a new chapter in their history. *CONDITIONâe¦ Both of these lusters have a fantastic appearance and are free from breaks and cracks. However keep in mind they are very old and have seen a lot of travel. I have found 2 VERY small nicks on the inside edge of the lip, these do not show and are only noticed when you run your finger around the inside edge. As to be expected both show read more
