are two variometer coils built very solidly on a phenolic base. Each consists of a rotor coil and two sets of stator coils, each at right angles to the other. The rotor coil is connected to two terminals on the rear through slip rings. The rotor coil shaft collar has set screws and accepts a ¼ inch diameter shaft. Size is 6"W x 3 ½"H x 5 ½"D These are in good condition. The rotor turns freely and smoothly. I'm not sure what these were designed for but they look really neat. I make every attempt to describe items completely and accurately, and to show any flaws clearly in the photographs. Questions are invited and will be answered promptly.
