2000 TIFFANY & CO Copley Newspapers Commemorative Gold Rim Bowl: Helen Copley Up for sale is a lovely 2000 Tiffany & Co. designed bowl designed exclusively for Copley Newspapers 72nd Annual Copley Conference in Borrego Springs. The bowl is 7.5" in diameter and 2.75" tall. The herring bone side panel is blue and metallic gold. The center has the Copley Newspaper logo of a hand ringing a bell. It is labeled on the bottom and is in excellent condition. This bowl dates to when Helen Copley was still inside of this newspaper empire. Helen Copley (1922-2004) took over the helm of her husband James S. Copley's San Diego newspaper empire with great success and ran it from 1973 until 2001. In the process she became one of the richest and most important women in America and was a giant presence in San Diego and Southern California. She was actually called "The Face of San Diego". When she died Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger ordered the flag over the California state Capitol to half mast. Please Google "Helen K.
