2002 Australian Lunar Horse 1-oz GEM BU Silver Coin This auction is for a 2002 1-ounce Brilliant Uncirculated Silver Lunar Horse from Australia. This coin is based on the ancient Chinese Lunar Calendar. The Perth Mint's Australian Lunar silver bullion coins are legal tender and bear the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse. The reverse design of the 2002-dated Year of the Horse coin depicts a galloping horse . This coin is the size of a U.S Silver Dollar and contains 1-ounce of 99.99% pure silver. It has a one Australian dollar denomination on the obverse. The Lunar series of coins has become a very popular collectors' item.
