This auction is for a FACTORY NEW Ohio State Buckeyes vs Miami Hurricanes 2003 Tostitos Fiesta Bowl National Championship Program, played for the 2002 College Football National Championship on January 3, 2003 Sun Devil Stadium, Tempe Arizona. I was able to purchase this from the warehouse who distributed these programs. It has never been opened and is in " NEW & MINT " condition. These programs are highly sought after now since its been over 6 years since Ohio States National Championship and most were game used. They are very hard to find in used condition let alone NEW & MINT condition. Its will keep increasing in value for years to come. Heres whats inside! The first few pages of the program have welcome letters from the Bowl Chairman, Governor of Arizona, and the Mayor of Tempe. They talk about the game saying "This has truly been an exciting year in college football. No 1 Miami which went 12-0 this season, is red hot with a 34 game winning streak and is looking to defend their National Championship title. On the other side of the field , No 2 Ohio State set a school record this season going 13-0 in the regular season. With two undefeated teams vying for a national championship this should be a historic and memorable year for the Fiesta Bowl. Next is a section on a game by game recap of Miami's season and Ohio State's season giving an individual game summary and many many pictures of each teams players. Then pages give a biography of each coaches career coaching record with statistics and a story about each coach. Next there are sections on "Meet the Hurricanes" and "Meet the Buckeyes, with individual pictures of each player on each team. Then there is a roster of each team, telling each players position and hometown etc. Then there are pages on each schools traditions. Like Ohio States "Script Ohio", Brutus Buckeye, School Songs, Hang on Sloopy the colors Scarlet and Gray, and a picture of the band and cheerleaders. Then there is a really nice picture showing Ohio Stadium from an areal view, and a picture of the Orange Bowl in Miami. There is also a page telling the teams and scores of previous Fiesta Bowls going back to 1971. There are pictures and articles of the 1999 National Championship featuring the Tennessee Volunteers and the Florida State Seminoles. also the same for the 1996 National Championship in the Fiesta Bowl featuring Nebraska Cornhuskers and Florida Gators, 1989 featuring the West Virgina Mountaineers and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, 1987 Penn State Nittany Lions and Miami, 1993 Colorado Buffaloes and Syracuse Orangemen , 1983, Arizona State Sun Devils and Oklahoma Sooners. Then there is a page on the MVP of each Fiesta Bowl every played, 3 pages on Fiesta Bowl records,a page on the college football Hall of Fame, and a page on Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, a page explaining the BCS and how it works, pages on the Big Ten and the Big East Conference, then yet another page telling about all of the years bowl matchups. Next is a nice titled "A Perfect Matchup" about the match up telling about each teams season,and featuring pictures of the Miami quarterback Ken Dorsey, OSU running back Maurice Clarett, Miami coach Larry Coker, Ohio State coach Jim Tressel, Miami running back Willis McGahee, Ohio linebacker Matt Wilhelm and many other Ohio State players. Then a page gives both teams statistics for the year.
